Valerie Moore grew up in the town of Castleton, Vermont, where she developed a deep love for the state’s beautiful landscapes—especially the vibrant colors of fall. This love for Vermont’s scenery inspires her approach to design, as she aims to bring warmth and a sense of home into every space she works on.
With a background in fashion, Valerie’s creative journey took an exciting turn when she sought a new challenge and discovered her passion for interior design. This shift allowed her to blend her eye for style with the structural and aesthetic aspects of home design. Now working out of the Rutland, VT store, Valerie also specializes in rugs, flooring, and window treatments. Her personal style leans towards traditional with a cozy cottage twist. She really enjoys collaborating with all kinds of clients, each bringing their own unique ideas. She loves designing living rooms, as they’re perfect for creating that soft, welcoming feel that everyone wants in their home.
When she’s not working, Valerie spends her time with her kids, family, and her much-loved dogs. Her friendly, down-to-earth approach makes her easy to work with, and she’s committed to helping clients create spaces that feel like home.

Walked in and was immediately greeted and welcomed by Valerie and Kourtney. Valerie walked us to the mattress gallery and was extremely helpful and informative on the different types of mattresses, and which would be best for us. We were met by Valerie as we entered the store. She explained where everything was, asked us if we needed any help and let us know where she would be if we had questions. She then left us to it. She helped us with our purchases and questions, directed us to the online store for some other items and organized delivery for us on an appropriate day when our house purchase completes. She was the perfect balance of helpful, friendly and not at all pushy salesperson. We really appreciated it. We have now selected more items online and I will be in contact with her to add to our order. Thank you Valerie!
